I went out with Pittboss the next day and got some real good shot at them. The pictures he took are real good but I will let him post them when he gets back from SC.

Wow, those are great. I don't see too many of those in the timber or fields. They are beautiful birds.

Yet another species of waterfowl I have not had the opportunity to hunt! One of these days.

Nice pics of them little buggers!
I think canvasbacks may be some of the most elusive but the stupidest ducks out there. :)

Anyone want to second guess why avery makes all drake Can decoys? There are a few hens, but the line share is drakes. I have had a shot at many cans...and I have seen very very few hens. So when you second guess why Avery make such few hen diver decoys...go observe, you will see.

Wayner,

Went to Havre de Grace today to wrap up some show housekeeping and went to the promenade at sunrise hoing to see a few birds but it was slim pickings.

I scouted near home on my way home from HDG and there are VERY few birds as compared to early December around my blindsites. Even the swans I found yesterday were missing.

Cold air has moved in and I am meeting Mark Hoke tomorrow for a photo shoot. He has some birds pegged down and I will post pics if successful.

Good luck. This cold front should help you down there, make sure you don't forget the Black Ducks. That's what I really want to see and I know Mark Hoke can put you on them.

Great pics Bueno Wayno! I think you must be bucking for an equipment upgrade....

Jeff, those are some beautiful photos as well. Throw some decoys out there next time so we can see some comparison shots. Your colors are perfect!

Here are just a few of the photos from the shoot Wayne and Jeff Coats (Pitboss) did last week. Coats is just flat out awesome with that camera - I love the last photo!!!
