I know this is my first post, but I have an honest question. When I bought my FFD's this year, I thought they were great. I then get them out into the field, and they seem light in color. Will you guys be putting on a darker color on the FFD's this year? The pro grades are perfect in color IMO. Now, I know some of you have said that the grey color is "dead on for late season birds", but for the geese around here, they aren't even close to being dark enough. I watched some birds yesterday that were dark brown on their backs. I want to know because I plan on buying 3 dozen FFD's, but I want to know if I should wait until next year for the darker ones to come out if they do. Thanks for the help.

Goosehunter2118,

First off welcome to the Avery Message Boards! Also we would like to thank you for purchasing the FFD Elites. From the posts I have seen I believe they are darkening next years FFD a little bit. I understand how many want a darker decoy and we have responded. Do not be afraid to use your existing FFD's as they have been exceptionally deadly to those that have used them. I had excellent results with mine early season through late season. Mixing your 05's and 06's will be a very deadly combination. I would also add Lesser FFD's and Oversized Shell FFD's too for the ultimate hunting spread!

Thanks. I will wait it out then. I have found that the flocking holds up much better than the paint, so I am going over to all FFD's.
