Black Duck Mount Suggestions

I have a blackduck in the freezer waiting to get mounted. This is the first blackduck I have shot, so it's a great excuse to put on the wall. Although it has a broken wing, I did't think that was too much of a problem on getting it mounted. I need some suggestions on what pose would look best for this duck. I was kind of thinking about having it mounting standing on a log and maybe preening. But any suggestions will help. Pictures would be great.

I am a taxidermist and i like a standing mount for a black duck. I is a good mount.

The mount I have for my Black duck is a suspended mount cupped up and dropping into my living room. I love the mount and would recommend a similar mount to anyone

I do my own taxidermy work as well and I'm gonna have to agree with goose on the standing mount, i like them the best

standing definately . i think all ducks look good in a standing mount it shows off all of their features . I think

Well I know its not a Black Duck, But it is how I am having my Canvasback Mounted. I think it looks nice.

That is one sweet mount.

I like the standing for black ducks. And I normally a flying mount kind of guy.

Thanks for the help guys, gonna have to go with a standing mount for sure. Now I just have to find a good taxidermist is Southern Illinois or even Central Illinois to take to.
