I read the other day someone was having a problem with there footbase getting scratched and worn by sliding back and forth on their metal poles, inside a trailer rig. Well I have a solution to your problem. You can buy a foam wrap at Ace Hardware or at any hardware store that slips over pipe/conduit, then just take some electricall tape and tape it down in about 4 spots about foot 1/2 apart. Leave a space at the end of your poles so that they will still slide down into your hangers. This will keep your footbases looking new and is inexpensive to do it yourself.

Who cares about the footbases getting scratched? Just curious.

That would be a nice way to keep things organized and taken care of but I do agree with Travis in that I don't think it matters to the geese. If it does, its time to take em!

If they are scratched up a bit they probably blend in better in the stubble or dirt. Plus you have a stubble strap there if you want to add stubble or grass to it

Thats a kewl trick. I am wannting an Enclosed trailor so bad b/c I cant fit all my GHG in the back of my truck. Not trying to be smart but anything to keep my GHG Nice And Clean, I will try and I dont like scratches on my Footbases.

I know that's what I am thinking. It wouldnt hurt any and it's creative. If I had an enclosed trailer I might consider it.
I like the idea only 1 concern. That foam is going to impair how the decs slide down the pole making it more work to load the pole. That pipe foam does have alot of good uses though. If you completely wrapped it with duct tape that may help with sliding and offer padding to protect the footbases from scratches and cushion the bouncing that occurs going over bumps. Keep up with the good ideas.

Wow you are a bit touchy I would say (Frazier) some of us don't mind if our bases get banged up a bit. If Tyson had a problem with his decoy bodies getting messed up you would have seen a different response for sure.
It is not a concern for me if they get scratched, glad you found a solution for you problem
