Saw someone had mentioned that he liked big foot floaters better than GHG's. Hey no problem, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Here is a picture of our floaters and then a picture of live geese. They look pretty real to me. No trying to start a fight, just showing some pictures. I was going to post the picture of the big foots, but that was not why I started this thread. The eyes are dirty as you can see, but they were wet and we had to drive on gravel. Should of washed those bad boy's off first.http://img376.imageshack.us/img376/7809/productphotos209large2qo.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

While anatomy and appearance are both concerns I look beyond that.I want the quiet one on the water,GHG is my choice.

The GHG look pretty goosey to me. I can't wait until we see the L.S Series on the water and the paint scheme.

You have to give some credit to bigfoot. They do look sweet, but I don't use floaters. The paint looks too yellow of the GHG floater. If GHG made all of the goose decoys like the pro grades in color, they would be perfect. But one things for sure, I can't wait to try out the FFD mallards and snows in november next year.:D Now before anyone says they aren't even out yet, I know. My off season project is to fully flock some of the decoys I will be getting to give an idea of what the FFD's will look like. I will post pics if you guys want them when I am done.

Which ones are decoys and which are live birds........Nothing beats GHG goose floaters.

Those Floaters are the best floaters I have ever seen. GHG decoys are pure realism.

Travis-IF that picture doesnt illustrate perfection in the GHG NOTHING does. I dont understand how anyone could say those aren't dead on.

Just to be fair and balanced, I want to say that more geese have been killed over Bigfoots than other decoy ever produced so give them their due. Of course I think our floaters are significantly better than any others, but my opinion is biased. We do offer two body styles for anatomical reasons, and there is no question as to the durability of ours vs. any others - we have measured the walls of our decoys and have found them to be twice as thick as the walls of Bigfoot floaters. That's a lot of material! Flocked heads, 8 step paint processing and size make GHG Over-Size Floaters very nice decoys. To claim they are better would be personal opinion so let's all keep this in mind when we make definitive statements. Competition is caused by choices, and GHG is just a very good choice among many.
But just wait until you see the Life-Size Canada.....

I think BF's look great, but they are great looking decoys. GHG are ugly looking decoys, but they match the real deal dead on.

I love the goose floaters..... makes them better when u cant tell the difference between a real goose and a GHG decoy... no one makes them better

Too me a decoy has to do more then look right. It has to also ride the water right. It has to look natural and it has to be quiet. There is nothing worse then listening to your spread "slap" against the waves. GHG has not only produced a very accurate looking decoy but it also rides the waves better then any other plastic out there. The combination of the two is very deadly on live birds. I still think of a conversation I had with Tom a while ago. GHG has changed my way of thinking about decoys. If it looks or sounds like a decoy, it has no place in my spread. I guess then bottom line is if it looks like a decoy, its not GHG!

What I like most about Avery Floaters is the movement. Especially with the Looker heads. I think that the keel has alot to do with movement as well but the wind catches that tall neck and the decoy starts swimming. Could be that that the body is larger than BF too.
We always set several stretch neck Averys in the hole. This year I had a chance to watch a lone Canada swing just outside the spread. When the 2 lookers started moving out of the hole the Canada nearly broke his neck trying to turn into the hole. I never knew a Goose could turn that hard and fast into a spread.
My buddy and I trade hunts. I have a field pit and he hunts the river. We hunt the pit several days and then hunt the river to keep from burning out our spot's. I had 8 Avery Canada floater's for pond hunting and I asked my buddy if he wanted to use them. He said that he didn't think he needed my Avery's because he had 36 BF floaters but...throw em' in the boat anyway.
After watching that Canada drop into the hole my buddy says...you gonna need them Avery's back? How much do ya think I could get for my used BF floaters? You got any more of them Avery's?
Well, he doesen't know it but I'm going to buy him 8 more for this fall.

The pictures with geese in the decoys say enough for me. A picture is worth a thousand words.
