View Full Version : Avery Youth Field Staff Application Announcement!

Avery is very excited to introduce our new Youth Field Staff Program. We have talked for some time about how to begin such a project, and the internet has provided the perfect tool to allow young waterfowlers with a mature and professional attitude to work directly with other young people who are already hunters or who have an interest in the sport.

Successful applicants to the Avery Youth Field Staff will be asked to maintain a positive presence on the Avery Message Boards. We will create a dedicated forum where they can easily interact with others with a common interest. They should start new threads, answer direct questions and maintain the excitement level that young people deserve in this great sport.

This project will be a great deal of fun, but it is important to stress the fact that those chosen for the Youth Field Staff will be required to maintain a professional attitude just as required of every member of the Avery family.

The Avery Youth Field Staff is open to young boys and girls between the ages of 12 -17 years of age. Interested applicants can apply in two ways:

1) Follow the attached link below to the MS Word Formatted application and download it, complete it, and return it electronically to Becky Phelps at: beckyp@averyoutdoors.com . As the application requires your parent’s or guardian’s signature you may scan that portion of the application and email the image along with your completed application.
2) Follow the attached link below to the Adobe PDF Formatted application. Download it, print it, complete it and return by fax to: 901-454-2597 / Attn: Becky Phelps or by mail to: Avery Outdoors, Attn: Becky Phelps, 335 Cumberland Street, Memphis, TN 38112

We wouldn't ask if we didn't think it important, and since it is important then it is necessary.

Thanks...

You know you are involved with an awesome company when you see them doing this for the youth. What a great way to get younger people more involved in waterfowl hunting, photography, seminars, etc. I am very excited about the Avery and Greenhead Gear Youth Pro-Staff. Let's Roll.

Good Hunting!

I filled out the application and sent it to the email provided along with some pictures. I let my dad read the application and he approved and then typed his name in the space provided. I think its great a youth staff is being developed.

To all prospective Youth Field Staff applicants:

Please feel free to use one of the two methods as directed in the original post to submit your information: email or conventional mail. If you wish to use a combination of both methods that is fine also but please make the appropriate notations with your submission to avoid any possible confusion on our end.

Andrew,

We haven't established a limit for the number of members we will accept. That's not to say that we will (nor can) we accept everyone, but as this is new for us we will see where the applications take us and determine what will be a manageable size group.

Thanks...

How many pro staffers does Avery add a year?

Rob Jepson
04-11-2006, 05:35 PM
Michael,

We don't have annual membership drive numbers to attain but rather our ranks grow at a pace with which we can adequately address dealer and program needs. In short we add members when and where we need them as we can.

Thanks

Rob Jepson
04-28-2006, 07:42 AM
Cody and all other Avery YFS applicants,

We are running just a tad behind as some members of the YFS selection committee had personal and professional business commitments to tend to this month that prevented them from going over the applications. I apologize for the speed bump and am confident that we will be able to make our announcement of selected applicants by the second week of May. We are as excited as you all to get this team assembled and rolling and truly appreciate your patience over the last several weeks.

We are very close to the announcement of the Avery Youth Field Staff. There are so many great applications to go through and we are putting the finishing touches on the intial selections as I type this. We are shooting to have that list out by the middle of this week. The response to this program has been more than we could of imagined, and we thank you for the interest each of you has displayed. Give us a few more days and we will have a formal announcement.

Why would we have to travel and is staying frequent on the forum all that there is to being on the prostaff

Ryan Vande Griend
07-25-2006, 08:52 PM
Woodduck, in some occasions, we may need to travel to a place for a seminar or whatever reason, but what we have done so far is a crow hunting project which will come up on the MB's soon, and we just stay professional and answer as many peoples questions on here in the best way possible to try and promote Avery Gear.

Also some time later we will be getting our own MB where other young hunters can come and talk about hunting to keep this sport alive in this and future generations.

Thanks,
