Hey guys I was just wondering if you had any new pics/information about the crow dekes that have been made, and what they will retail for?

I have read in a previous post that the new FFD crow decoys should retail for about 7.99 each. I haven't seen any photos as of yet.

FFD Elite Series Crows!
The best part is that you don't have to eat them.

They are and I can't wait to use them this fall. Maybe we can get Fred to video a crow hunt. I know there are some guys out here who have 100 plus crow days.

I know I have an area back behind our house here in Nebraska that has a good crow population. I will definitely be getting some of those bad boys to hammer on them.

I'm not a crow hunter although I seem to eat it quite often. Again, I don't know much about the sport but after looking at these decoys, if you can't improve your success with these you aren't ever going to.

We probably need to make some kind of a road kill decoys to put the crows around. You guys know that is would work.

Rick,
I am not sure if you are serious or not, but whenever we go crow hunting we just take a small brown rug out there. We position a few decoys around it like the crows are eating.
I am excited to see these new decoys!

Frazier, that is pretty neat. Now imagine the FFD crows around that brown rug. No shine like a regular plastic decoy, but unbelievable realism.

We don't crow hunt much here in Nevada but we are using the new Greenhead Gear FFD Crows for our predator hunts. We have been filming over them and the results are undeniable. We usually try to set one up in a tree or branch behind us. We then use 3-5 of them on the ground out in front of our blind. There is something about a crow that puts a coyote at ease. I think they trust these birds. If you predator hunt, try this system and let us know how it works for you.
Good Hunitng!

Yeah, the brown is a good idea. I hunted a large clover and grass field one night to get rid of groundhogs that were eating it. I got one and left in the in the field for the next moring. I then setup the crow decoys around it and did okay for only hunting about an hour. I would think a stuffed animal from wallyworld would work also.

Rick, I think we could get into the crow hunting apparel along with the road kill decoy, and make asphalt camo with yellow hash marks down the back. Hate to product test that outfit. Could just as well go with a ground blind too, and put finisher doors on a dumpster. :) These dekes are be awesome, we love chasing crows in this neck of the woods.

Chad, it is funny you should say that. The first time I went after crows was two years ago and got into it pretty good. I was hunting one afternoon and 3 coyotes showed up out of the blue. After that, they just keep showing up on almost every hunt. So, yes, there must be something about them that makes them feel at ease.

Maybe when I get some of these new ffd from GHG i'll be able to take more then the one crow i shot this morning ;)
Heres a pic of it i guess this is considered a piebald crow because of the brown in the feathers.

You need to have the images hosted somewhere on the web. We can't view your hard-drive to see the picture stored in your "My Documents" folder. ;)
