Is there any way to just buy the motion cones and the screws? Since I don't use the bases I will convert them into stakes (from existing GHG motion decoys that I have purchased). I just want the motion cones, screws and nuts. I will have the stakes that I need. I have the hunters series that I want to convert into motion decoys. I am looking into about 5 dozen cones needed. Can I call customer service? I have read that there will be kits coming out to do this convertion but I don't need the stakes. Thanks Reg
Ok to answer my own question no they will not sell you just the cone and hardware.. I did call so if any else is wondering the answer is NO

Brobones,
I have a friend who used the tops of 1 & 2 Lt. bottles as "cones" in some of his older model GHG's and they worked great.
Not as good as the real thing, they are a little more flimsy, and prone to warping shape, they are a little time consuming, and probably more expensive than getting the kit, considering that he purchased and consumed a lot of pop in order to have motion in the spread.

Reg,
You just didn't talk to the right person! The correct answer is that we will only sell them in kits, but I have seen you contributing positively on here quite a bit so we will help a brother out. Call back and ask for Daryl Neal. Big D will take care of you.
Thanks,
Tom

I've been out of town for awhile, so does this mean that the conversion kits are now available?
Thanks,
Frank

Hey Tom, yes I know they have the kits I only wanted the motion cones because I have all the stakes that I can use all ready. Daryl did inform me of the kits, thanks Tom. I have all the bases that I need since you get stakes and bases with each motion decoy. I guess I will have to find another cone that will work, as well

I must have missed something. Can I call you and order the cone motion systems for my GHGs? I've been out of town for awhile and feel like I'm out of the loop. If so, what is the price?
Thanks,
Frank

Reg,
I was trying to explain to you that we normally only sell the kits, but we decided to sell you just the cones because you are an active contributor on our message boards. Even though you rarely miss a chance to take a shot at us on other forums, you have been a positive contributor here so we just wanted to help you out. I am sure Daryl got you taken care of.
Thanks,
Tom

Just for the record Tom I also praise Avery on other forums also, for all of the work they do to bring some of the best looking decoys to us waterfowlers. Like I said earlier I call them as I see them and so do you Tom.
Here are a few pictures of what my garage looks like less another 2 dozen FB life series that I have to store downstairs in the basment along with 2 dozen hotbuy floaters. Also the finisher blind strapped in. Just to let you know Tom I do purchase Avery products and
think they are great products. You will see in my trailer loaded and ready for the spring snow season that there are GHG FB decoys. If these hold up through the spring season I will be purchasing more. Under those FB snow and blues are 20 avery LS floaters. I must think GHG decoys are pretty darn good decoy if I am willing to pay $153.63 for 6 decoys (FB mallard). Yes that is what it costs to get those decoys to my door in CND funds.
I sure wish you guys would make a adult pack for snows and leave the juvies out of it. I think buy selling your motion cones hardware and stakes as a kit you will be able to help add a lot of motion to the spread even to decoys that are not GHG. I have converted over some Big foot snows that turned out real good. I guess Avery once again helps out BF decoys again, first by producing flocked heads for BF's and now with the motion cones and stakes. Thanks Avery once again

You will start to see a bigger Avery/GHG representation in Canada this year. We have more dealers every year looking to carry out products. This should help you on the cost as well.
Thanks,

Actually, we do have kits in-stock right now. The only bad part is that they are just in a plain cardboard box. Most retailers want to take delivery with their Fall shipments. You may be able to get them to do a special order for you.

That would be a sweet to add some motion to the spread.
