As far as I know, we aren't doing any products in Bottomland Camo. We are going to do some products in NatGear.

Sorry,

Boonie hat, and a wind breaker jacket. Come on Scott make it happen. You gonna come up to North AL next year and let me show you how it's done?

No Bottomland as of right now. We are going with Shadowgrass, Break-up, and NatGear.

Why bottomland? It is by far the most versatile, make yourself invisible pattern ever developed by Mossy Oak (for the South anyway). Just look at Break-up, SG, and all the subsequent patterns MO came out with, the base of those patterns is bottomland. What do I want to see it in? I'll take a fleece jacket/vest/hat and a shoulder bag for starters :)

don't know if any of you guys have them, but on the first few TRUTH about spring turkey hunting videos by PRIMOS, that came out in the late 80s, the only camo they used was bottom land. They litterally had turkey about to step on them. The birds never knew they were there. The idea of camo in the woods isn't to look like a bush, it's to blend in behind a bush and that's exactly what bottomland does.
For any of you guys with Mossy Oak...
Have you guys ever thought of making a pattern composed of totally grass? like bottomland but with grass. I think this would be extremely ffective in the saltmarshes and impoundments that don't have a tree for miles.
just a thought...

Make everything in the orginal Bottomland. Can't be that hard to do. Glad to see I aint the only one who likes the orginal pattern the best.

I would eventually like to see all of our blinds, bags, and eventually apparel in bottomland, but until then it'll be khaki and nat gear for me. For the guys that are diehard bottomland I'm curious how many have tried the Nat Gear? Same principal as the bottomland and mudded up I don't believe I've seen anything better, original B.L. included.

Sorry guys, from what I heard from the MO rep. at the NWTF Convention last month was that the old "original" patterns are all gone. The new bottomland is exactly that, "new". It is the base pattern you see in the new break up, new shadow grass, and obsession. The old original bottomland and shadowgrass are gone and they, at that time, don't look to bring them back at all. They are doing some runs of the original bottomland pattern on some casual hats, t-shirts, and shorts. I think they are calling it the vintage line, in honor of MO's 20th anniversary this year.

I personally have missed the original Bottomland camo. I spent alot of hours in a treestand underneath my first pair of coveralls in Bottomland. Glad to see it make a return.

Well lets post up a picture of the "new and improved Bottomland " camo pattern again. Maybe after my Nat Gear stuff and OD green stuff wears out I will give it a try in about 10 years or so.

Oh wait! The "new Bottomland" will be out of style by then and we will be buying some other different new and current trendy pattern that will be all the rage.

Better start buying the orginal Nat Gear pattern now and stock up. Somebody in Nat Gear management will start wanting ruin the pattern by putting branches, grass, tree limbs, leaves and other foilage over the pattern like Mossy Oak did with the orginal bottomland pattern. Almost to the point of not seeing the base pattern at all. You know, to "blend in".

I believe that the new Bottomland will be an excellent base, NAt gear is great we use it to camo a floating blind in our buck brush hole

Yes I have seen it. Maybe if we all say a prayer and ask that nobody buys the pattern then Nat Gear will drop the line. :D

I think this will go over well in Mississippi.

Rob,

That will go over well on the west coast too. Good looking pattern. Lets KEEP it that way WITHOUT all the foliage. Hint, Hint there Mossy Oak!

Looks great!

Guys don't worry about Natural Gear. That pattern that they had with the pine/spruce boughs is now gone. I've got their newest catalog and the only things left are a hat and a set of coveralls. They do have another new pattern though. It's called SCII and it looks really good. They just touched up the base with some "moss and lichen", just like you see growing on trees everywhere. Looks killer in the spring turkey woods. Other than that, no changes to good ol' natgear.

Anyone know of waist-high waders in Natgear?
