I have really itching to take some nice pictures this spring, but i dont know what type of camera to buy.I have missed alot of nice sunsets and waterfowl moments. Im kicking myself in the butt for never going out and buying a good camera. There is still alot of great pictures to be taken this spring! Any suggestions on what type of camera to get? Prices would also be helpful.I'm alittle low on cash right now, but i would like to get the best possible camera there is to buy without having to put a huge hole through my wallet. Thanks

I am old school and (ask my wife) anti- tech so I shoot a 35mm mostly although I do some stuff with digital cameras. Anyway I use a Minolta Maxxum 7000, which a lot of people use. Its user friendly, reliable, and works even in cold conditions. You can probably find a used on for a good price at a pawn shop, ebay, or camera store. It doesn't take a whole lot of "camera" to get good results.

I have a Kodak DX6490 that I can't complain about. It is the 4.0 mega pix with 10 x optical zoom. You can pick them up very cheap right now on the net and just add a telephoto and a 1gig card and your set. I have taken it almost everywhere with me and it has held up nicely. I do have it in a semi padded case.

I have A kodak z740 that I like a lot. It has 5 mp and 10 x zoom. I also like that it is quite user friendly, which is great for me as I am only 13 years old and the easier it makes it for me the better. You can find it relatively cheap, I got mine for $240, and it is well woth it. Check out some of my pics in the photography forum if you want to see what it is capable of.
hope I helped,
Jake
