Here are the pics of the fully flocked big foot that I did it is next to one I just painted. Some pics are taken out of the window of the house to get a down look or goose perspective.
Please let me know what you think

if clinton decoy company was smart they would hire you to paint for them because those pics look 10 times better than what their "new and improved" decoys look like!!! nice job

I can say the same things about the FFDs put a white head on them and double as juvy snows.

The point I was trying to get is not the body shape or the decoy its self, but the the flocking and the paint. If you haven't realized a the avery in the bottom pics is a 04 hunter series that I flocked and painted myself.

I should have known better than to ask a bunch of brainwashed avery staffers

Nice work on the flocking though, it is by far the best looking bigfoot I've ever seen

Those aren't the new Bigfoot pics...

You guys are like little 5 year old kids, you see something and immediately start making judgements and believe what anyone says....

I'll stick with my HARDCORES!!

And now I'll have my say, those new black ducks look like someone just spray-painted a fullbody mallard dark brown...

Hey Iasnow - at least us 5 year olds can read. rofl Nowhere did he state those were the new bigfoots only that he had flocked and painted them.

he miss read something i wrote ( at least i think he did) i stated that they should hire you because the new bigfoots are NOT painted as well as the custom paint that were shown.

IAsnow goose - I don't know if you have to go that far (since we know you are already taking care of another forum) but being able to read the posts does help. roflmao

Looks ok I like the location they picked to take the pictures.

The location "THEY" took the pics?

I'm guessing 'they' is Bigfoot.

Headhunter kind of made it sound like it was Bigfoots production decoys.

Sorry I just kind get sick of hearing how most of the prostaff will not admit that there are other good products out there, or admit that the products can be improved apon. Don't get me wrong I love a lot of the products and use them but I do think there are some improvements that can be made on some products.

Feel free to make some suggestions, alot of the ideas have come from the end users, you guys. Obviously you run Drahts, I also have 1 in my kennel, great dogs!!

drahthaar1

Drahts are great dogs, wouldn't trade mine for the world.

Suggestions
1) I would like to see the plastic thickness on the decoys a little thicker to increase durablity. I have had trouble with head post breaking, heads cracking and bases breaking.
2)Well I think the carving on the lessor is great, however a carving like that should have a good paint job to finish. I am assuming that they are painted with stencils, to me they look tiger stripped, I don't believe that it would take much longer to add a little bit more of a custom job. naother thing with smaller geese, is that in my opinion they seem to be a little bit darker than big ones, the lessors look pretty light color wise.

http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/8325/img8643large6jc.jpg
3) effective as they are I wouldn't mind seeing the carvings of the honkers, have to wings cross in the back like on the lookers, that and the carving is almost completely symetrical, as far as feather detail, with the wings crossed in the tails and the feather detail not as symetric I think would look more realistic. But of course you would have to change the carving, slim the body down on the actives, and feeders to remove some of the egg shape and give it a sleeker more realistic look.
4)I would like some of the full body mallards to be more of a resting and sleep pose, to use more on the shore lines versus just actives.
5) the head rest on the finsher, ( maybe I just move around alot) I had keep poping out, I would like to see some of the push buttons on it as well.
6)I personally don't have one but have heard that a another row of stubble straps on the neotub would help with concealment.

These are just some I think I problably could go on more. I do really like avery products

In my opinion the full bodies are as reaslitic and as true to the real deal as any other decoy out on the market. I know that countless hours have been spent in the field studying live geese in different body positions. Unlike other decoys, you do not get the "toy soldier look" like you do with others. Feedback is always good and I am sure the people at Avery like to hear feedback from the field.
