It seems like forever until september doesn't it??? I'm always blowing on a goose call. We are about to start the project of putting in a pit at one of our pastures so that will take up quite a bit of the offseason i'm sure. Touch up some decoys that probably don't even really need it but its just something to do. Shoot lots of sporting clays, thats always a good time. Especially when there is a friendly wager on the line. I work 5 days a week also. Helps pay for the decoys I can't afford but buy anyways.

I work from 7-5ish monday through friday. When I get home I'm usually shot but I almost always blow my goose call every day. On the weekends, I'll get things ready for the fall, practice more calling, go fishing, shoot trap, or whatever else I feel like doing. Usually though it's calling, fishing, and getting stuff ready.

In the off season I am always getting ready for the upcoming waterfowl season. I practice my duck and goose calling everyday. I cleanup and re-string decoys. Currently I work on the weekends, but soon I am getting a Summer job so I can get all the new GHG Decoys. And I am looking for an Enclosed Trailor to haul my gear around in. I Turkey hunt in the Spring and try to do some fishing when I can.

I fish pretty much every day all summer for 3-5 hours each day... and after that is september. In the spring Turkey season breaks things up, because after a month of 4 30 mornings every day before school you lose the desire to think about fall... and you lose the ability to think. My offseason seems pretty packed but I still wish I could hibernate

You can never seem to make the off season go any faster, I work on Duck/Goose calls, clean decoys, watch the new spring hatch and dream of that opening morning.

The off season seems to last forever, but I try my best to keep in touch with my hunting buddies. Work with the dogs, shoot trap, attend a few shows, work on some new ideas or fix things I broke, and blow the calls is what I try to do. I get in a little fishing with the kids as well.

I also spend a lot of time doing things around the house that I blew off during the season (try to earn brownie points) and I try to spend a lot of time with my family, as I know during the season I'm away from home a lot.

Surf the net. Try to keep up with the latest industry trends. Start planning larger fall hunting trips. Practice calling. work the dog. Family stuff. Basically, kill time until the hunting season.

Off season ? It never stops. There's always something going on. If I'm not working with my fellow Pro-Staff members in our area, I' m working on my calling. Also, this is a great time to accomplish those "tasks" around the homefront. Seriously, besides actual hunting not going on, the "activities" never cease.

It does last a bit too long but I keep my self busy by training the puppy, shooting clays, fly fishing, musky fishing, shows, contests, turkey season, calling practice, and racing.

I like to work the dogs almost year round. I also like to try and get a picture or two here and there, plan trips for the fall, icefish, etc.. There are alot of things you can do to extend your season. You just need to be creative!
