What are people experiences with the Gadwall decoys? Do they pull in the gadwalls good? How about overall visability. I am trying to decide on getting a dozen or two or just getting six and more widgeon.

I have experienced great success with our Gadwall decoys, from North Dakota to the Lower Eastern Shore.

They work great and they look even better.

They work AWESOME. Get you about two dozen of them. Overall visibility isn't all that great because they kind of blend in with the water from far distances but that's where a mojo or flag come in. I've waved my hand around when i see ducks far off and they've responded very well to it.

The gadwall is a great decoy from early season to late. The decoy works great as just another species in a spread with mallards, pintails, shovelers and widgeon.

That decoy is very realistic. I think if you add a few Wigeon and some of the new Coot decoys, you will have a killer grey duck spread.

Out of all of the species of decoys I would have to say I can really tell a huge difference when using the Gadwall decoys. More often than not Gadwalls circle alot and take forever to convence to come in. However the Gadwall decoys from GHG have helped greatly in decoying Gadwalls and also add a bit more realim for other ducks.

They actually stand out a bit too at a distance.

We used some gadwall decoys last year when we went to north dakota. I would really have to say that they work really well.

The Gadwall decoys are very effective. We killed several Gads this last year...I think the thing that I realized the most is that not only are they effective for Gadwalls, they "sell" the whole set-up much better. In other words, they paint a more realistic picture.

The GHG Gadwall has been a very effective decoy for me over the last couple of seasons.
I still maintain that it is the most realistic looking decoy I have ever used.
The white/grey wing bars set against the dark background offer good visibility. I never put out a spread without at least a half doz. Gadwall decoys included in it .

I will get at least a dozen. Do they work real well with coots? Can I get a few dozen coots to help with gadwalls and widgeon both?

I think the drakes actually stand out very well. I literally had gadwalls land with the gadwalls and wigeons land with the wigeons. It is amazing how certain species stick together. A spread of Gadwalls with improve any spread.
