I have one decoy that the paint has fallen off of. It is the only decoy of about 2 doz. that I have that has done this. I am planning to repaint it during this off season and need some suggestions for colors and types of paint to use. Can anyone help?

Are they less than a year old? I so just call averys customer sevice. If not wait untill Averys new flocking coming on the market. Last option ebay flocking material super cheap and does the trick.

I think that flocking is definitely the way to go. If it is less than a year old, please give Customer Service a call.

Thanks,

If you want to get the detail on the decoy the best way I think is an airbrush. There are many different types of airbush acrylic paints available. www.artistcraftsman.com has a big variety. As far as colors go I would look up the color chart of whatever company you choose to use and try to match those to the colors on your decoy. But this is probably tricky. Maybe someone from avery can give the color specifications. Not sure if this helps.

the decoy is definately more than a year old. I think it is actually 4. It has seen many geese get crunched over its head. I have a airbrush and plan just to repaint it. I just need to know where to come by the paint and what colors to use. Thanks to everyone who responded already.

We will try to get Fred to post on this one. He will know the paint scheme needed for this decoy. Rick is right though, if it is a newer decoy, give Customer Service a call and they will get you taken care of.

Good Hunting!
