Question about the Rochester Waterfowl and Outdoor expo

Hello everyone! I just was wondering who and what will be at this waterfowl expo in Rochester, MN. I was also wondering if Avery will have all their new products available to purchase during the event. Also, will the Zink crew be there? I just recieved my PM-1 in the mail today, and I can't wait to check out the rest of their calls. I'm really lovin the PM-1, it rocks, but it could use a friend on the lanyard! Later guys, thanks.

Joesac- It looks like myself, Rick Turch, Brett Beinke, and Greg Owens will be there working for Red Bear and Dalton Outdoors. As far as products, I don't know what they will have as it is so early in the year yet. Send Greg Owens a PM and I am sure he can tell you all the vendors scheduled. Stop by and say hi when you get a chance. I am not sure if Zink is having a seperate booth or not, but, Paul at Red Bear does carry the Zink line, and he or Brett can help you out there too.

This is what I know.

That we currently have two of our best event accounts doing booths at the show. Red Bear Hunting Emporium told me that he was going to have the Zink crew in his booth.

Inventory will be limited because of the time of year. I will try and have new samples in each booth for people to view.

As far as Zink's crew I know that Big Hest and Kevin Meier are going to be there for sure. They will be working the Red Bear Hunting Emporium booth. There also might be a few of the guys from the shop coming as well but I know for sure Big Hest and Kevin are scheduled. They are both fantastic and will help you in any way they can. I am pretty sure Ryan Barthel will also be there competing in some of the contests. I am happy to see Rochester host this event. I think Jeff Bruns is putting together a very good event and I am looking forward to being there!

Thanks guys! I can't wait to get down for that! I'd like to get to the Game Fair this year, but I have several weddings in August to attend, so that's out of the question. I'm thinking this will be a great time anyway! Thanks again. :)

A good friend of mine Jeff Bruns is organizing this calling contest/ waterfowl expo. They moved the calling contests from Game Fair down here to Rochester. It is a three day event with two days of contests. These are sanctioned contests, so you can expect to see some big name callers competing in it. There are 9 total contests Novice duck & goose, MN state duck & goose, Northstar Regional duck and goose, Two-Man (person) duck and goose, and Heather’s favorite event, the Loon calling contest. The Loon calling contest is scheduled to run in conjunction with some ‘after contest festivities…’ on Saturday night. So I’m not quite sure what to expect, but it should be good for a few laughs.

The Waterfowl expo is also really shaping up to be a great event. I will try to get a current list of the vendors who will be exhibiting. But you will be able to find just about anything you are looking for. There will be duck boats, mud motors and ATV’s from many manufacturers. Almost all of the custom call companies will be there. Avery products will be available through at least two dealers. As Rick stated, he will have samples of our new products there. BigFoot will be bringing up a truck load of decoys for their booth. Final Approach will have a booth there. And many other manufacturers and retailers will be in attendance.

I think it will be very interesting to be able to see our products in a side by side comparison with the new products from BigFoot and FA. From what I have heard, I think people will see why it’s worth waiting until Fall for the Avery products.
