Pro Camera Question....

Just curious if any of you staffers have been in the or around any video production and if yes, are you familiar with the CANON XL2?

I have some further questions about tips on weather protection of the camera and tips for microphone camo. Thanks for any help.

Canon XL2 has a great advantage and that is interchangeable lenses. But it's film look is not as performant as other ones, and I find it needs a lot of light in order to produce quality images. I have 2 Panasonis DCR VX100 and love them (obvioulsy) I find the image rate is the best I've seen on any DV camera out there, I've produced stuff and went broadcast with it, with that camera and foole many people in thinking we had shot, if not film at least HD.
