I am all ready blinds decoys boat etc. have been checked and rechecked, done some scouting, just killin time now...might have to go fishing tommorrow to take my mind of duck hunting??
What is making it all the more exciting is all the new Avery toys I have to try out ....my new Mallard full bodies and my OS blacks we are planning a hunt on sunday just to use the mallard full bodies......photos to come!!!!

Paul,
I am glad that you are starting to get the gear you are looking for. We have made some pretty big strides with our business in New Zealand. We have over come some pretty big obstacles. It is only going to get better.
I bet there are people all over the US that are jealous.
Thanks,

Paul - I have to believe those birds are gonna fall for the GHG full bodies in a big way over there. Did you get some honker dekes as well?
I know you're gonna have a great time, I was just talking with a friend last weekend about the invitation I could not make it down for. I truly hope you enjoy your upcoming days in the field and the company you keep there.
Looking forward to the pictures and the stories.

Season runs from May 6 to 31 of july our limit of Mallards is only 15 this year due to dry spring so it will be a tougher season than usual also all the crops were off early so will not have as many stuble options as usual

That must be rough to only be able to kill 15 mallards a day. I wish we had that problem here. Good luck and post some pictures of that beautiful country and the new GHG decoys that you are using.

Hey Paul
You tell me off for stirring them up. I hope I can do it better now that I have joined the team.
Your Avery Skull Cap will be in the mail tomorrow.
Good luck for opening.
Its less than 48 hours to now. I finished work today at 4pm and will load my truck tomorrow morning and will be off to the lake. Wish I had the time off work you have but the factory doesn't run without me. Mutter mutter mutter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taking my daughter with me hunting for the weekend she turns 17 Friday and I hope between us we will get some exciting photos.
Our mallard limit is up this year to 12 and finally Canada Geese are no limit and running for 11 months where I do opening. In my home town area we have gone from 5 Canada's to 20 with a longer season too.
Let it begin. Between us Kiwi's we might get to stir the pot some what this year.

11 month season with no limits... that's nuts!!! Are there really that many that they are a nuisance or is it just there are so few hunters?

my bet would be the ratio between hunters-birds

Seems we DO have it rather good.....
AND..... WE HAVE OUR OWN AVERY PRO STAFFER....." SKEET "
Sure looking forward to those pics up Paul and Rob ????????
How many of the black duck decoys did you get Paul ?
Can you post up a pic of both types of full body decs you use, and your black ducks ? ....do you know if they are going to make a full / oversize feild decoy in the black duck colouring.???
We have some Avery feild mallards - they sure are nice, but sone blacks would sure look sweet.
Paul and Rob - best of luck with your shoot !
Just hope it lasts longer than ours did last year..... we were done before 8.00am.This year looks better, so hope to shoot some phesants and some geese later in the morning ( Farm owner told me last night he has seen more phesants this year than ever....sounds encouraging ! )

I have a dozen of the OS blacks to go with my 50 odd real image Mallards and GHG shoveler, I carry them all in Avery 12 slot bags. I also have 52 Mallard fullbodies most of them feeders and will add some of the New Black fullbodies and rester mallards when they come out later in year( wish I had them now) also have 60 GHG OS Canada shells with flocked heads.
Are heading out shortly to put all the dekes out ready for the morning.
Good luck for your hunt!!!!
Paul
