Bit off topic guys but I would welcome any comments.

I am bringing the family across the big pond next week for a 2 week vacation at Disney world. We are actually staying within the resort at the Port Orleans French Quarter hotel.

I am after some suggestions on things to do outside the resort when we have the odd day off from Mickey and friends.

Any personal recommendations ?

thanks guys

Darryl- I don't live down there so it's hard to say specifics, but, when I was down there we tried to catch some Nascar races. I am not a race fan, but, it was an experience that I won't forget.

Darryl,

PM Mike Hungle...he is on the International Pro Staff from Sask., Canada. I know he goes on vacations to FL alot and I'm sure he will give you all the scoop for the Sunshine State!!

Have fun and take plenty of money...those parks are proud of what they have to offer!!

One word SEAWORLD. My parents took us there when we were little and we had a blast. I cant wait to do it again. Plus thats fun for children of all ages.

Darryl,

You can visit other parks such as Universal Studios and Seaworld. The Kennedy Space Center is about an hour away.

Darryl, you and your family will love it. We were there for 10 days this winter. For part of our stay, we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Disney has great transportation to and from their parks. My best advice is arrive at the parks early and do things before they get busy. There's no shortage of things to do. Seaworld is a a must! It was my favourite place of all.

PM or email me if you have specific questions.

I haven't been down there in years, but I would also recommend Sea World. The entire family enjoyed it.
