Someone posted some pictures with the new Avery Dog Blind on here a while back. It was lower profile, and some other added features.
When will it be available in stores? I need a blind for the upcoming season, and want to train out of the blind I'll use in the field.

Dealers are going to start receiving them around the mid to end of July.

Looks good. Any specs...ie dimensions, pics, advertisements ??? Website doesn't have a thing regarding the new design. Even GM gives out hints and teases on new models !!!
I've heard rumors it's 17" high, making it the lowest profile available, 1 inch shorther than the competition blind.
Small is good. My 60 lb'r will fit just perfect - he's tired of smelling my feet at the end of my Finisher!!

Look guys.....I'm not knocking any other blind. But, let me be clear about the Ground Force Dog Blind.
It is a serious hunting tool. It's not designed as a cute place for your dog to kinda roll around in. It's light, strong, and real.
It's designed for the big boys. You need a dog that you'd hunt with....one that understands "down" and stay there until they finish. It's open on both ends for speed, and convenience.
You can tuck this blind in right beside your ground blind in the middle of the flatest, cut bean field in Kansas and make it happen.
Chunk it on the ground and snap it together with 1 click...and it get it on.
Thanks,
JT
JT or anyone. A question I just thought about. Since this is so low profile will a dog be able to enter the front and turn around to look out. Or with the new design are you going to have to train your dog to come in from the back.
Are they still going to offer the finisher dog blind or is this going to take its place.
Thanks.

Thanks for the help Justin. That really clears some of the differences in the dog blinds for the guys on here. Thanks again.

Maxx,
I just shot a small feature DVD on Friday that will be included with the GFDB, helping guys get there dogs to learn to be comfortable with "down".
YES....If you have a dog that is 80-85 lbish and under they'll be able to turn around in it without too much of a struggle. If you have a huge dog you may consider doing a little training on getting him in from the "other" side.
One thing I have noticed is young/inexperienced dogs accept entry much, much more readily than closed end blinds. Being able to see that there is no great big black monster in there seems to help.
My pleasure Curt.

Well my dog is a monster right now. 94lb female. She was only 76 before during the season though.
Never trained to hunt her out of blind but she has hunted out of one several times now. All I did was tell her to kennal.
Thanks for the insight. Hope to see you in KC at the Waterdog training day!

Maxx,
Yella and I have a Weight Watchers membership......I'll get your gal a "deal". Look forward to seeing you in KC as well! Be sure to bring your dog if you can....and we'll work the new blind, and whatever else you'd like to work on.
Take care.
Thanks,
JT
