This morning was the first time I have ever hunted from a finisher, or any other ground blind for that matter, and have to say I am now a convert! The weather was not ideal with a hard frost and no wind, the geese had been hunted heavily also so was not expecting much. The geese come over high circling many times but still ended up decoying to the GHG OS shells. They did just not have a clue we were there...Rob I need a coulpe of ground force blinds!!!!!

My GHG OS Goose shells with my friend Shanes new Finisher blinds Check out that view!

A resonable result (48 Canadas for 2 guns) considering the conditions

Funny to see you bundled up in your winter season when we are strippin down to beat the heat. Great job on the geese. Yes the mountains are spectacular -Peter Jackson director of LOTR gave most of the world a peek at that spectaclur NZ scenery at various locations in his movie. Bootiful:cool:

I would call that an understatement....what's it like when the birds aren't weary?

Look at that magazine extension!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding! You make me wish I was there. Those mountains remind me a lot of hunting out here in Nevada, Idaho, and Colorado. Do you think that there could be some great video footage taken where you are hunting? I think that it would be great to see some of these New Zealand duck and goose hunts done right in a video. Keep it coming.

Good Hunting!

Reasonable!!! If I shoot that many geese in a season it's outstanding, and I like in the country Canada Geese came from!!! I could just sit in that field and look at the mountains and I would be perfectly satisfied!!! Thanks for the post you just made me re-evaluate myself living in North America!!!!

Paul,

Congratulations on your hunt! I have to ask how you guys in NZ prepare your geese for the table?

Best of luck,
T.J.

Great pictures Paul! You're making me really jealous though you spent the day shooting Geese in cold weather and I spent the day mowing in 98 degree weather! haha

Sweet pics! Looks like you got a good thing goin' down under. What is the wait for decoys in the mail and is postage worth it?! You bet with hunts like that!!
