Attached are photos of the 2006 Pro-Grade Full-Body Sleeper / Rester w/ Retracta Footbase. This is the final "new" decoy for 2006 and it is a great decoy to wrap up all of the new offerings from GHG for this season. Kudos to Fred, the carvers and the all the good people at Avery Overseas for their efforts in adding these world-class decoys to the line.

Congratulations on choosing this decoy to close things with, you really are going out on top! I have been anxiously awaiting this post and fearing it at the same time, hating the thought that the anticipation that has been building for months on end is actually going to be over, but my oh my what a way to end it. I extend both my congratulations and my thanks to Avery on the outstanding run of new decoys this year!

The amount of realism achieved by these decoys is incredible, look out late season geese. Awsome job this season Fred, and the rest of the crew.

You are right Mark. The late season cold weather set ups will be ridiculous this season. Mix in those babies with sleeper shells and the geese will not know what is happening until it is too late.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but will it be possible to retract one leg and have it still balance?
Thanks
Tony Vandemore
06-19-2006, 02:17 PM
I don't believe the legs really have anything to do with the balance, that is what the base is for. If you wanted to cut a leg out and have the one legged sleeper, I don't see a problem with it. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...

Guys,
Here is some important information I forgot to add this morning in my haste to post the photos.
Here are the two DIFFERENT Rester and Sleeper bodies next to each other. You will see that the breast area is totally different on each decoy. These are different bodies!!!!
The Sleeper bodies come with Sleeper and Rester heads, and the Rester bodies come with Rester and Semi-Rester heads. For those of you who are counting, that makes five different honker bodies with 13 different heads, and that's not to mention the two Lesser Canada bodies with nine different heads.
The Resters and Sleepers will come in 4-packs, and they will be offered in Pro-Grade and FFD Elite.

wow those look amazing! How much are they going to be selling for?
Tom Matthews
06-19-2006, 10:07 PM
Pro-Grade Series Rester and Sleepers will retail for $129.99/4-pack, and the FFD Elites will retail for $164.99/4-pack WITH A 4-SLOT DECOY BAG INCLUDED. The steal of a deal is on the FFDs because the per unit cost per decoy is $30 plus you get a $45 bag.

OMG!!!! After looking at these decoys I have put to rest any apprehention of switching to GHG's this year! Would it be asking too much to see a photo of the FFD version?
I can't wait for the day the delivery truck stops at my door!!!
Way ta go Avery!
