Can some of you guys put up some pics of the inside of your trailer to give some ideas on what to do and not to do.

I dont have any pics of mine but inside my trailor i have carpeted walls and a shelf in the back of the trailor with a couple small lights on the walls inside.

Here are a couple pics of how I have my trailer organized. It's not quite done but we have the decoy racks up. The only problem we've experienced is if you're driving over some big bumps the poles can sometimes bow and bounce out of the bracket so I am buying a more heavy duty pole before the season. Otherwise it has worked great.

Here's my insides without dekes in there. The walls are 6 mm plastic lined with the swiveling rack system (shelves will diminish as the realfoot based decoys are replaced by motion). Each rack section can be removed by taking out 4 screws fastened to the roof beam, as the bottom sits in a square tube cutoff at the floor.

did you put some kind of durlon pad between the hinge on the swivel? you might want to do that if you didn't. that way it will never freeze up and it will always have some kind of lubricant.

Dustin, How big is your trailor and about how many dekes can you fit like that? Looks like a great idea.

Those are some nice set ups guys. How many decoys do you usually fit in those trailers?

I appreciate it you guys posting them pics. I just bought a trailer (not as nice as those) and I am just trying to get some ideas. What do you use for lighting on the inside and outside if you have any lights on them

sdgoosehunter,
It is a 7 x 16. the front is a v-nose so i only have the racks going up to the V maybe a little over half way. I can get about 80-100 hanging. The front holds 4 finishers and our pro-grade motion decoys and shells. with plenty of room to spare. It's nice to have extra room than not enough. Especially with all these new GHG decoys coming out i'm going to need the extra room.

Mr. Abbas,
How many Hunter series can you fit on one of them rods? We just picked up a 16 footer yesterday and are thinking about putting all the Hunter Series we have on the rods like you got there. Plus, a few extra for the others guys "toy soldiers":D

Travis:
If you are running a 7 x 16 you should get 7 hangers across on each rod. Abbas correct me if I am wrong!

Shawn you are right, we got 7 across on my old trailer.

I agree Mr. Mueller and Mr. Bloom, I think when I had a bunch of Real footers I hung around 70.

Tell me what you guys think of this. I'm going to be running all FFD and will have them all in our six slot bags do you think it would be worth it to still run those poles across and just run the pole through the shoulder strap? This way I'm not losing any room in my trailer or having any of my stacks fall over while on the road.

Nick:
We are running all FFD's with 6 slots this year as well and we are just about done modifying our trailer. I will post pics as soon as we get it finished, i think it will be a great set up and will prevent us from hanging bags or losing any space.

Thanks guys! I think we are going to keep all of our actives on foot bases, to maintain that "on the move" look. Hanging them is a lot cheaper than buying 6-slots!!
Just piling them in is outta the question with the luck that I have.
Mueller and Abbas, does your 16 footer have electric brakes on it?
Jeremy Abbas

Yeah they do Trav, we run nearly the same trailer. To the guys out there running just 6-slots, I would stack them along the walls with a hook on the wall to HELP support some of the weight of the bag off the bottom bag.

We got a killer deal on the trailer but the brake system needs a tune-up. How complex is it?

Thanks for the pics... I would also look at 6-slot bags.

hey guys the trailers look great. Mine is almost finished. On one side i did shelves for my 50+ pro-grades. on the other side i am planning on hanging 2 dozen ffd lessers. in the front of the trailer i built custom shelves that are cut to fit in the corners. I am looking for a new or neat way to put 3 dz shells in it. Any ideas will help. the outside of my trailer is gonna be mossy oak shadow grass. And of course there will be some stickers.

Pretty nice looking rigs guys. I've got a little ol' 6 x 10 and have everything in Avery slotted bags with the exception of my O/S Cago shells. Will be having a summer sale here soon to make room for the 06 models. When I get the chance I'll take a full inventory (hopefully later this month) and post on the Pawn Shop Forum.

Mine is being constructed as we speak but some of the different items I have in mine are:
Gun Racks along one side wall
Wader Hangers
Hanging System for Power Hunters, Finishers, and Ground Forces
Lockers with hangers-clothes, boots, etc. along nose wall
Locker Box for Ammo
PVC Standing Tubes for Flags
I Still have enough room for 15 dozen FFD Full bodies in 6-Slot Bags and 10 dozen Full Body Mallards. I also pull my 4-wheeler into the very end of the trailer.
I will get some photos up as soon as it is finished. I can't wait.
Good Hunting!

Rob - Is your trailer a V nose or standard? Do you have any pictures you can post of it and how it is setup?
I am looking at getting a 6'x10' V nose, but not sure if I need to go bigger. Maybe I already know the answer to that question.

VHD...It is a std. box. I don't have any photos, and if the trailer was right outside I go take a few for you but it isn't. I think you know the answer to your question also...

NO matter what you buy, you will alway's wish it was a foot or two bigger.

Just ordered a 7x16 V-Nose Custom Goose trailer from Prolite Trailers. All aluminum so no mess with rust and about 1000 lbs lighter than steel. He is starting to make some custom goose/hunting trailers with added options to suit the hunters needs. I think it may be the first one he builds. I just happened to send an e-mail with what I wanted and he said he was just wanting to start doing more custom work, so we worked out the details. Great people to deal with. Rubberized floor, interior shelves, e-trac, even a custom goose flag holder. Can't wait to see it. I figured do it once and be done with it. I outgrew the 6x10' trailer in a hurry, so my advice is always go bigger than you think you will need. I will post her up for sure once I get it home and rigged!!!!!
