Ho....sorry.......
This is the biggest forum for the waterfowlers that I know, I just want to have some infos...
All my decoys are GHG, but GHG dont have a really good decoy bag, so I just ask to find the best one!!
A 12 slot bag is not enough to carry a lot....so......

I thought that this was a site that anyone could ask waterfowl questions and get some help. It seems to me that target asked a perfectly honest question. If all we are allowed to ask it about avery/ghg then I think I will find another home. There is some good info here, but I will only come here if I have a avery/ghg question. Rick, your way of handling this was very cold. You might look for different words in the future.

What type of decoy bag are you looking for? Avery/GHG makes excellent bags for all types of different hunting situations. If you are looking for a deluxe decoy bag similiar to the one that is pictured I know we can find you one.
What type of decoys are you wanting to carry in this bag? Floaters or Fullbodies?
Does the bag need to float?
Are you packing in a long distance to the places that you hunt?
Let us know what your needs are and we'll point you in the right direction.
Thanks,
Nick

How many decoys are you needing to carry? I usually use our zippered floating decoy bag for pack in hunts. This bag will hold 24 standard size decoys and has comfortable shoulder straps and waist belt. Please let us know if this is something you would be interested in or if you need something larger. If you need something larger, we will try to point you in the right direction with one of our other bags.

Target,
Avery is the largest manufacturer of decoy bags on the planet. Mack's PW alone carries 9 different sku's of "traditional" Avery decoy bags not to mention the different slotted bags we make for floating ducks, fb ducks, Specks/Snows/Lessers, and FB Canadas...the Deluxe Slotted Bags....and the Individual Decoy Bags. Our different "traditional" type decoy bags hold from 24-48 duck decoys and range in price from $9.99 to $44.99 depending on the particular model.
I don't fault you for asking the question because for some reason, I don't think you knew about all of the bags we actually offer. Bottom line...if there is a situation, we have a bag to fit it.

TARGET,
I used the decoy bag you have mentioned for a couple of seasons and they are quite good if you have a long truudge into the marsh.
Last season I changed to 4 of the Avery 12 slot bags, and this happened before I had any conection with the company.
I can now carry at least 60 decoys in those 4 bags in much more comfort than before with 2 bags crossed over each shoulder. Add to this a 6 slot bag containing f/b mallards, a floating gun slip and a blind bag and I regularly have walks of 1/2 mile + without too many problems.
Just another option.

Panhandle is right. This site has always been open to anyone who wants to ask any question they want to ask. I don’t know for sure, but I suppose it struck Rick as a little strange that target would post this particular question in the "Avery Products Questions & Answers" forum (key word being “Avery”), but I agree with Panhandle that his answer was a little curt. I do not believe that Rick meant for his answer to come across the way it did, but only he knows for sure.
In the meantime, I am going to make some observations for better or worse. I just saw that Rick’s rude answer to target’s question was post #2,062 for him, and I can assure you that 99% of those posts were answers to questions about Avery & GHG products. It amazes me that Rick and the other Avery Territory Managers visit this forum daily (as one of their many job requirement) to answer any and all Avery product questions that anyone might have, and they get little or no credit for their efforts. In fact I would say their cumulative efforts that surely total thousands of hours of additional work are taken for granted because the minute any of them “steps out of line,” they must endure a lecture. In this case, Rick was lectured and then threatened with finding “another home” by a forum member just because he stated a fact. Come on now, what’s that all about? Is there another place you can ask the management of the company any question about a product you could possibly dream up and get a variety of helpful and honest answers from multiple members of that company’s management and Pro-Staff? Is there another forum where a company asks the public to determine the new products that will be designed and offered in future years? I could go on and on, but I am sure I have made my point. If that “home” exists out there and this one is not to your liking, then by all means please feel free to go there – we hope you will come back and visit us from time to time because nobody is mad here. Now guys, I feel ridiculous having to state all of this, but ridiculous situations call for ridiculous statements. Now that Rick, Panhandle and I have all made our ridiculous statements, I suggest we get back to business.
Since nobody answered target's original questions, I will do what I can to help.
1. About whether any of the forum members use the Cabela’s Ultimate Decoy Bag, it appears that Rick has shut everyone up that does. I have not used one of these bags, but it appears to be a sound product with an above average retail price. I like the side pouch for the spinner decoy, but the pouch for the gun seems like an unusable feature and perhaps even dangerous. The concern I have is that the bag seems to be over-engineered because its main selling point is that it is a “floating” decoy bag, but the two additional features would never come into play if the “floating” aspect were being used. That is all I can say about that product not having used one. I would like to take this opportunity to explain the thought process we use when designing products. Avery has been making the bulk of the world’s decoy bags for several years now, and we design our bags to serve particular functions because there are many different styles of hunting that require different products. We have never gotten caught up in the smoke and mirrors game of adding features that cause a product’s retail price to increase without adding any additional value in function or durability. What am I saying? I am bluntly telling you that our extensive line of decoy bags has been put together over the past 12 years, and we believe that our bags cover every feature necessary for serious waterfowlers to transport, store and protect their decoys. Some of our bags are very basic and are offered are retail prices that reflect this while others are outfitted with different levels of features that cause the retail prices to increase as the features are added. This is just common sense business.
2. About how many decoys the Cabela’s Ultimate Decoy Bag will hold, the catalog description on the link target supplied says that the bag “Holds up to three dozen decoys” so I guess it holds up to three dozen decoys, but that is not very helpful. Are they saying it will hold up to three dozen GHG Life-Size Teal, three dozen G&H Standard Mallards, three dozen Carry-Lite Magnum Canvasbacks or 36 GHG “Hot Buy” Mallards…I don’t know, but I assume that they mean the bag will hold up to three dozen 16” standard size Mallards. The decoys in the bag appear to be Carry-Lite Standard Mallards, but I cannot begin to estimate how many are in there.
At the risk of this being taken wrong, I am going to try to be of assistance to target. The Avery message boards is a very good place to find out anything waterfowl related, but ours is not the biggest forum for waterfowlers by a long shot. You should also visit the Refuge forums at http://refugeforums.com/refuge/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=7 and Flocknockers at http://www.flocknockers.com because these are very informative. There are dozens of others, but these two are my favorites. I guarantee you that you will get a multitude of good answers to your questions about the Cabela’s Ultimate Decoy Bag if you post them on the Duck Hunter’s Forum at the Refuge.
Thanks to target for asking a question that caused us to reflect on how we answer each others’ questions. There is a lot of value in what happened over his question, and I am personally glad it happened because it gave me cause to reflect on the hard work that the Avery TMs do here as well as how we must all be courteous to each other in order for these forums to serve the purpose they are intended for.

maybe i am a bit out of bounds here but, this is the avery/ghg site. You are going to get answers here about their products. It would be like you going to chevy.com and asking them if they thought the new mustang cobra would be the way to go for a car???? like tom said if you want information on someone elses products i would try flock nockers, they are very honest there and there is also no BS ripping on one another.

I've tried to learn how to speak french for years...just can't get the hang of it. In the small communities where I had lived...it was mostly half french and broken english...talk about confusing.
English is one of the most difficult languages to learn. There are so many many words that have many different meanings and pronounciations for just one small word.
Though sometimes.....an english sentence maybe five or six words long....the sameone french is half a page long....LOL.
Which part of Quebec are you from??......I have an aunt that lives in Montreal.

I took one semester of French...got a D. I thought it might be better to try Spanish...got a C. I figured I would stick with english....didn't do so well in that either! In other words, for someone who doesn't speak english, you do an awesome job! Thanks for posting.

It is hard to speak any foreign language with a dip in your lip.
Target,
If I were you, look into our Zippered Floating Decoy bag. Instead of the traditional top loading and unloading, we put a zipper on the back. The bag can lay flat on the water and not have decoys coming out of the bag and floating all over the place. Here is the description.
Avery® Zippered Floating Decoy Bag™
Avery's new Zippered Floating Decoy Bag™ is designed for hunters who wade because loading and unloading decoys has never been so easy! Constructed from super tough 900D polyester with vinyl coated mesh top and bottom for fast drainage, the ZFDB's molded EVZ back panel provides supreme comfort as well as flotation when the bag is empty. The full length #10 zipper will hold up for years, and double zipper pulls with webbing pull extensions make for easy opening and closing even when you are wearing gloves. Three adjustable cinch straps keep the bag tight, and loop carry handles on the top and bottom make for easy pulling through water or double team hauling. Adjustable padded shoulder straps, waist belt and chest cinch guarantee a perfect fit. Holds 20-30 standard decoys. Olive drab.
Here are a couple of photos. The one with the straps is a standard floating decoy bag. The Zippered floating decoy bag has the same strap system.
