Layout blind opening?

How many inches wide are the actual openings of the various Avery blinds? Unfortunately I'm really wide in the shoulders..........and other areas.

I've tried out the Finisher and the Migrator in a store. The Finisher was too small and the Migrator had enough "room" but I still would catch my shoulders on the way up.

Here is what I know about the cockpit measurements on the blinds.

Finisher
45" long
23" at the head rest
15" at the gun rest

Migrator
54" long
24" wide at the head rest
15" at the gun rest

Ground Force
54" long
23" at the head rest
17" at the gun rest

The Power Hunter may work. You don't have to worry about your shoulders because there is no cockpit to come out of. Just a suggestion, but it could be the blind for you. I have seen some really big guys hunt out of a Power Hunter.

The Power Hunter is an interesting option. How far up on the body does the "sleeping bag" come? I've never seen one in person. Does the hunter slip in through the top hole, or does it open at all?

I am 6'4" and weigh 290 lbs. and I prefer the Power Hunter. The Power Hunter is very comfortable for me because there is no frame around your shoulders. Your shoulders are free from any constraints of the blind. I suggest you give one a Power Hunter a test drive. I hope this helps.

It seems that most folks that require more space in a blind seem to love the Power Hunter. Rusty said it and I have heard Jude St. John say the same thing time and time again. Check it out...

That is right Curtis. The Power Hunter is my blind of choice for the reasons stated above. The "sleeping bag" comes up to the chest and the shoulders are free to move...no frame to restrict movement. Give it a try!
