As it is right now I am a strict water hunter, with ambitions to get in the field in a couple years (probably when college rolls around). But this dosn't stop me from starting up a fund for some decoys and my favorite, a big a$$ trailer. I would love to see some of the trailers out there. Anyone who wants to, post up.
Thanks

I would also like some ideas of how to store the 6 slot bags in a trailer.
Thanks

Simple way to store them to keep them in new condition. You will limit yourself to space but it keeps them from getting roughed up.

I'll throw a question in here too.........
I am in the process of getting a trailer, and the only thing holding me back in whether to get a ramp door, or the barn doors in the rear.
Does anyone have any overwhelming reason to NOT get one or the other??
Thanks-----didnt mean to hi-jack the thread.......

I have barn doors. I have heard of ramp doors getting sprung and beat up on the frozen rows of (insert crop here). No experience with it, but a thought.

I like the barn doors without a doubt. You can leave the doors open and drive around the field kicking piles of decoys out without worrying about the ramp getting beat to pieces.

Tony that's exactly what i was thinking about. I thought ..you could open the doors all the wya back and lock them in place, while you drove around picking up or setting up. Thanks for the info, just needed some good confirmation.

I like the ramp doors because I'm too lazy to step up and down so much.

Stephen, I would suggest to you the "Saloon" style door in the rear. Why? I have the Saloon style on my trailer and love 'em!! You can always buy ramps to haul a ATV if need be and the saloon style is cheaper!
Good luck and post some pics....

Nice job on the trailer pics guys! If you have a decoy trailer the next thing is always how am I gonna set it up inside and your buddies will always have their ideas ya know. But seeing some pics really help, i hang my full bodies from the roof maximizing all that space up there and then put the rest in bags on the floor keep the pics coming so we can decide what's best for our trailers.

I like the barn doors because you have to lay your door down in uneven fields that are possibly frozen or full of rocks like in Canada that will bend the metal or scratch the paint.

This is a 6x14 all open on the inside waiting for my new 12 dozen ffd's. As you can see there are six 750 watts lights mounted on the front on a pole that extends up and can be rotated 360 degrees for lighting the field. Inside the traqiler I have mounted 4 250 watt lights to light up the inside as well as the rear when the doors are open. The generator to run the lights is under the box located on the front of the trailer.

I would go with ramp doors so you don't have to keep stepping up and down off the trailer.
