Im looking at buying some new FB Goose decoys this year and cant decide what I want. As of now I have 6 HS lookers 12 OS shells and 4 bigfoot feeders (flocked heads). I was thinking either 6 Pro-Grade active honkers or 6 active Pro-Grade lessers. What are the size comparisions? If i get the actives will my spread look to alert or will the shells make it look more relaxed? In the area i hunt there is mostly larger geese with the occational lesser mixed in. Im not even sure if i want the actives or not yet. I hunt mainly corn and bean fields and also some sandy beaches and riverbanks.... help me out guys!

How about 6 of each?! If you were to buy 6 I would probably go with the Pro Grade Canadas, little bigger decoy will help draw attention to your spread. Down the road I'd be sure to pick up some chickens too though, they look just as good and the movement is great! Good luck.

The Pro-Grade Canadas Actives are about 24.5" to 25.5" from bill to tail, depending on the attached. Feeders are 26" to 30.75". On the other hand, the Lesser Actives are 19.5" to 21.375" in length from bill to tail, once again depending on the head attached. Lesser Feeders are 23.75" to 24.25".
I would not be afraid to use Lessers even when hunting larger birds. With different body postures and head positions, it will give your spread much more dimension. As Tony said, the Lessers look very realistic and offer unmatched movement.

I agree with Tony. Try 6 of each if you can, it will add more depth to your spread. If not, you can't go wrong with just adding 6 of the pro grade honkers to your spread. Looks like you already are off to a good start!!!
