I am planning on buying 4-8 goose floaters for this season. But i dont what one to buy over-size or life-size. I will be using these on the mississppi river and large potholes in Nodak also a couple small lakes. So preety much large bodies of water. What floater would be the one for me based on the places i will use them. One last thing what bag would be the best fit.

Either one of those decoys hould work fine for your situation. For me I would go with the LS floaters. I really think they look awesome. As far as I can tell the standard bag should hold 2 per slot with no problem. Can anyone else out there confirm this?

I just got the new LS Floaters and put them into individual bags and then into the Snow goose 6 slots bags. We decided to add the individual bags so we dont have heads touching. Trying to keep the paint/ flocking damage issues to a minimum. They are a great size, have a good look, and the head connection improvements are nice. I think these are going to be a nice decoy.

As nice as the oversize are the new L/S are going to be a better decoy just because they are smaller and lighter which lends them more situations.

If was only running 4-8 goose floaters on big bodies of water, I'd get the oversize, would increase your visibility. I'm guessing they would fit fine in the Six Slot fullbody bag.

As long as you aren't goint to be carrying them a very long distance, I would go with the OS floaters. They will give you more visibility for 4-8 decoys.

If you want high visibility get the OS Floaters. I have 2 dozen and plan on getting a few more.

I have found that after some abuse that the neck joints on my OS floaters are becoming less and less integral. Are the newer ones able to be taken on and off with ease?
I have heard that Avery doesn't recommend taking off the heads of their goose decoys once they are assembled but that one Stretched Neck Looker with his head on take up half the room tin the Suburban...lol...
So are the new LS ones rugged during the removal of heads?

After putting some of the new Life Size Floaters together last night, I think the joints and what not should be very durable!

If you only use 4-8 floaters then for visiblilty sake the OS floaters would be great. We hunt the Ar river which is fairly large its self and last year we used the OS series. This year I added some of the LS floaters mostly because they dont take up as much room in the boat and now that I have them I would have to say they are a better looking decoy than the OS series. Cant wait to throw them in the mix.
As far as head attachments go the LS seems to better desingned than the OS great work on the new head attachments GHG!!!

I'd go with the OS for higher visibility like the other guys said. I just got mine today and they are great looking.

Scary,
Haven't seen you on the boards in some time. Where have you been for the last few months?
We changed the head connections on most of the goose decoys this year. They are a lot easier to get on/off. The ones I have put together, stay put. I think you all will approve of the new system.
Thanks,

Guys- the head connections on the lessers are perfect. I had 16 OS floaters, and am now going with all LS floaters. They look great, take up less room, and are lighter to pack.

I have 16 of the os floaters and they seem to really hold up to the abuse we put them threw the last 2 years and will be picking up 8 of the ls for the upcoming season.

For a small spread of 4-8 floaters I would go with the Over-Size for visibility as the others have said.
