I really like the idea but I'm a little worried that it wouldn't hold up to the abuse of haulin in decoys and gear in muddy fields. They say it will hold 195lbs. and my canoe is no where near that but I still have my doubts. I would appreciate any input you guys have to offer. Thanks

Ive also seen these haulers in the magazine and thought about doing this same thing myself. I think its shouldnt be any problem holding up, they look pretty durable; unless your decoys and gear are extremely heavy in that case your gonna have trouble finding anything to hold up.

TRIPLER,
I have one and I can tell you it is a well built product. Real easy to use. It has a kickstand to hold it still while you are loading the canoe. then you just throw a ratchet strap over it and off you go. A tip I will give you is to put the decoys and majority of the weight towards the front.

Also, I was quite impressed with mine last year, there was about a 10 ft. wide creek I needed to cross that was only about 3 ft. deep. I just wheeled the canoe right into it with the hauler still attatched. Came to the other side and kept on rolling.

It only has single bicycle wheels on each side that may sink it soft mud. It doesn't look like it would be hard to make a longer axle to put a wider tire on it.

Hope this helps.

I've never used one of those. We always use big game haulers to push decoys and small boats. They can hold as much as you would like them to. One day we loaded up my layout boat, about a hundred GHG duck decoys, and all of our gear and guns on to it and pushed it over two miles across a leeve to get to a spot. Like Cody said, keep it fairly balanced with a little more weight to the front. Makes it easier to push.

I have used one and it works. I just never really need to get it out lately. Nice idea though!
