View Full Version : LS/OS Floaters and bags question?
I getting ready to order about 8 goose floaters. I will probably get LS ones but I am really leaning towards OS floaters strictly due to the heads on them.
Question is what bag will they fit in ? If the LS can all fit in on certian bag that is the way I will go. Remember I am only getting 8decoys this round.
Yall fix me up , tell me which way I can go and save money while getting what I need. I wouldn't mind 4 LS and 4 OS if I could fit them all in one bag.
I know this is the wishy/washyist question but I know yall can help and I thank you in advance.

I know the Life Size floaters fit great in a Snow?speck six slot. If you are looking for the Oversize, you could look at 2 of the 4 Slot looker bags to carry them in. I would probably just get two of the standard Canada six slot bags so you had room for another 4 pack down the road.

I also had a question about bags. Which of the 6 slot goose decoy bags have the poly cover on top? Will all 6 slot fullbody bags for 2006 have it or only the motion fullbody bags? Also does anyone know what kind of bags the FFD for 2006 come with (poly top or not)?

If you go with 4 LS and 4 OS, you will be able to fit them into the standard 6-slot goose bag. The item number is 00122. The OS will fit in individual slots and you can put two LS in each slot (bottom to bottom).
Thanks,
Thanks for the info guys, Rick you answered my post correctly. That is excatly what I needed to know. I was wanting to get away with possibly using just one bag,to save room in the boat.
Question #2 - by putting 8 decoys in a 6 slotted bag are they so tight that you can't adjust them to keep the heads from touching?
I want to protect them both flocking and paint, will the LS fit keel to keel kinda ? I think that is the way Rick was saying,in which that case my problem would be solved.
I think the small difference in OS/LS floaters will add alot to that kinda small spread. The slightly smaller bodies will help make the OS stand out by using just 8 decoys in the upwind side of the kill hole. This idea is mainly to get the ducks better positoned in the hole. But if a goose does comeby he's had when he see's these floaters.
Thanks for all yall's help, get bunch on here !!!

You will be able to arrange the heads so that they do not touch each other. I would put the L/S in the middle two slots and the O/S on the outside.

Zig don't forget to put something on the heads to protect them as well. I am putting my OS floaters in 6 slot bags this year and we plan on putting 8 per bag. I have put 2 decoys {keel to keel} in each center slot for better balance. I also plan on putting protective socks on the heads later.
