Here is a pic of some crows me & my son Hunter got today while trying out my new home made crow decoys.
In about 45 min we had 5 crows. This was at 1:00pm in the afternoon too!!

Best part was we did not have to get all camoed up. We were hunting in shorts & a t-shirt.

Lay down blinds are the right medicine for crows. Keep up the enthusiasm

You were inspired by me weren't you! LOL

I acutally went out crow hunting this evening. I didn't have a very good hide in the completely bare field. When the only crow I saw came into range, I was on the phone with tealtom.

On the other hand we did find a field with about 150 honks coming in it each morning. Before yesterday we didn't have a spot. Now I just gotta convince my dad to let me skip 1st & 2nd period.

Crows are always fun to hunt, as they are very challenging and shy birds.

I sure missed some crow hunting this summer, but waterfowl season is just a few days away ...

You gotta love those finishers for crow hunting.

Thanks for sharing ...

Son I was hunting crows before you were out of your dipers:D J/K

And I do believe I got you to buy 2 finishers after telling you how good the hunting was out of them.

Yeah hearing your story the other day made me think about going.

Ya, so I went to try it again this evening without the Finisher. No success. :( The crows busted me before they got within range.

On the other hand, I burnt a lot of gas scouting today. I have this group of about 150-200 geese patterned to a T. I know where they eat, sleep, rest, and roost. and the best part is I have permission for all of it.

The 2nd best part is that my dad is gonna let me skip school! :D Get ready to see some honks stacked up in 5 days!! Hunting geese Friday morning and Sat. morning and doves Fri. evening and Sat. evening.

Hope you and Hunter whack those geese yall have been watching!

The redneck in me has to ask, "how do you cook your crow?"

Crows are one of the few things I shoot & don't eat. Coyotes would be the other.:o
Farmers around here can not stand them.
My biggest reason for not hunting them much this year is that the crows are loffing in the same place as my gesse during the day.
The ones I shot friday were from a farm a couple miles down the river.

Hey Cody good luck !!
Sounds like you got more gesse than I do I guess your not coming to my place saturday morning now!

Yeah me & Hunter went crow hunting yesterday day after getting back from bushytail hunting. Decided to not take the Finshers either. BAD choice:mad:

Rodney,
We may get together later in the season or during the October season. I have a dove hunt to be at midday Sat. is why I can't come.

We still haven't cut our field yet. We are gonna wait until everyone else fields are picked clean then cut ours. I'd say we will have more birds than now in Oct. I will keep you posted though.

You shootin geese Friday?? Is Hunter going with ya?
