Duck decoy help

I recently purchased 12 life size mallards and a 12 slot zippered avery bag. I also have 6 life sized pintails and 4 gadwalls. Are area all have these species of duck, but only have room for 12. What do I take? Should I just buy a cheap decoy bag and take them all. Also I would like to buy some blacks or bufflehead? Alittle help here would be awsome. Can you force more decoys into these 12 slot bag?

I wouldn't try and force the decoy into the 12 slot. Some decoys I have found fit two per slot keel to keel, but only the smaller decoys. Best thing I can tell you is to play numbers when they are needed, but sometimes fewer can bet better as well. You can always read the birds and see what they like according to weather, migration, pressure etc. I have always mainly used the standard Avery decoy bags to hold my GHG decoys and have seen no abnormal wear problem to the paint. I even have some of the Original Hotbuys. Good luck and it looks to be that you have a very good spread in the works.

I would not try to force the decoys but buying another bag for the rest may be a goos option for you !
