I wonder how much interest there would be in a smaller blind bag. One that holds only one or two boxes of shells, enough room for a call lanyard, and just a bit more. Something that would fit in a layout (like a PH) with no problem. I'm thinking about half the size of a normal bag.

I normally bring my blind bag and it is a pain in the arse, and realistically I don't need half the stuff in it for a field hunt. When I have a large group with me a big bag becomes practical, especially for morning hunts (thermos, granola bars). When I hunt by myself, or with my two boys, we can usually get by with the pouches on our gun cases.

Just a thought.

When i just need something to carry shells in i use a Avery Camera bag. It seems to do the trick.

There is such a bag it's called the Avery Expandable Guide's Bag. I bought one last year and love it. It's perfect for a Powerhunter and waterproof. I fit 2-3 boxes of shells, my calls, gloves and a few extra things right next to me inside my Powerhunter. It is also expandable, the bottom can be unzipped and it makes it a little wider. If you are looking for a good bag that goes perfect with the Powerhunter the Guide's Bag is the bag for you. Check one out at Mack's...

Dave, Actually the Power Hunter shoulder bag should do exactly what you are looking for. Designed under the same interest you speak of. Small with all the extras of the big boys. Take a look at it, Page #59 of the new Mack's Catalog.

Thanks guys, two great ideas. I'm not a big guy - 6ft 175lb - so i just needed something to slide in my LO.

Those afternoon hunts are usually quick, 15 minutes before regulation shoot time and then it's over. When it's just me and the boys, we kid that we can bring 4 shells each cuz thats all the time we usually have.

Both good ideas. Thanks.

Good call Jeremy. Another recent newcomer to the line that might fit the bill is the Finisher Blind Bag.
