I am curious as to how you guys rig up jerk chords for your feeder butts to really stir up the surface.
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks

I use a jerk a decoy its a complete jerk cord set up allready built. but before that we used a heavy anchor such as a boat anchor and tied a piece of surgical rubber tubing to it and then tied the cord to that. Use bolt snaps to attach your decoys. It works great. Main thing is the anchor doesnt move and the surgical rubber has a good knot at both ends. Hope this helps.

I screwed together 5-7 hockey pucks and put an eyebolt in the middle. Get a carabeiner or some kind of clip and tie or crimp on whatever amount of line then another small clip to clip onto the decoy. Last thing is get a long cord and hook it onto the decoy and bring it right into the blind. If there isnt a lot of vegetation you might want to hook the string to an old fishing pole. But if there is thick cover it creates a mess becuase grass and reeds get up in the real. Hope that helps.
*you can also use quick clips to attach more decs to the cord that goes to the blind

A long u-bolt works well for keeping the cord close to the ground. We usually brush over it as well. Drive it deep and run your cord through it. If your blind is several yards from waters edge, you can use 3 or 4 of them to use them as a guide. Get them galvanized and you'll be able to use them all season.

Take yourself an empty coffee can, fill it with quickcrete and place a large eyebolt in the top. Attach a bungee cord to the eyebolt and secure it so it wont come off run a line up to your decoys. Then run a line out to your blind. If you want to keep the line down you can make a horse shoe shaped device out of Large gauge wire and push it into the shore ect. It works for me and it is always fun to make something yourself that actually works.

I use one on most every hunt. On private blinds we tend to have a jerk cord set for the season and on public ground I use a lightweight one made with a 5/8' dowel, surgical tubing, and brainded line. I like how you mentioned the use of the new Butt Up decoys. I am going to use two in my refuge rig this year. I feel that the design of the keel and the overall weight will move some water.
