Temp: 70-85 degrees

Wind: 10-15 mph

Conditions: Partly Cloudy

Once again, we got to the lake extra early, so noone had a chance to take our spot. It was about 4 a.m. when we reached the spot and set out the decoys. Still had about 2 1/2 hours left, so we rested and talked. Legal shooting time came, and we loaded up the Benelli's. A few minutes went by and we were visited by 3 greenwinger's. After the smoked cleared, only one survived. Not too long after that was a single that lit on the left side of the spread, and my dad took him. Once again, another single came over my side, I shot, and the teal was only wounded. Our dog tried to retrieve it, but the bird was only winged and flew off. My dad and I looked for about 20 minutes, but never found him so, he was a lucky one. Then we kind of all split up to cover more ground and we got a shot here and there. There weren't as many teal today as there were last week. We ended up with only 5 teal with 5 hunters. We had to walk a little ways in the heat, but it was still a lot of fun.
