I bought a floating pit bag a couple weeks ago and I love the bag but I do have a question about this bag. Maybe I assumed, but I was hunting in about 4 - 6 inches of water on Saturday. Had a great hunt by the way. Went I reached into the bag to get more shells that bag had about 4 or 5 inches of water in the main compartment. I thought the bag was water proof. A friend of mine was hunting with me had a avery pit bag also (his was a couple years old) and his was bone dry. Any ideas? do I have a bad bag or was I assumeing that it was water proof.
Thanks

The bag is said to float when dropped in water, and I have never had a problem with water getting into mine. Did you have the bag sitting in water? I don't think this is a good idea in the first place. I would call customer service and talk with them, they'll answer any questions and get you hooked up.
Sorry about the problem, but glad you had a good hunt anyways!

The bag is not designed to be sitting in water for long periods of time. It is designed to float in case of accidental droppings in water.

Thanks for the info guys. Does Avery make a bag that is designed to sit in the water?

The pro-grade blind bag is as close to waterproof as it gets! Two removable liners, and this thing is built like a tank. Item number is 01664 for S.G. and 01668 for B.U.
