I finaly got around to digging up the pics from the opener that I didn't post up in one of my earlier threads and also was able to take a few new ones over the weekend.

This set of images is from opener day here in MN. We were in what was an oat feild at one time. Birds were busted off the roost but we still managed a few.

My Finisher closed, we dug our blinds in a bunch to cut down the profile.

This next pic is of a water setup we did this past saturday evening. The birds didn't cooperate but it shows the use of the extended stakes I made. There is about 4 ft of water below the Fb's. For anyone wanting to do this I highly recomend 3/8 rebar. It isn't super heavy and is very durable.

That's a great setup. I like a lot how you dug the finishers into the ground. Do you guys haul a shovel out with you?

I like the set-up. The decoy placement is very realistic for this time of the season. I am glad that you guys were able to scratch out a few birds. It drives us nuts when the birds are busted off of their roost. It makes for some cool sounds but the hunting becomes very difficult. Please keep up the great work and thank you for using Avery and Greenhead Gear products.

Good Hunting!

Nate, the shovel is essential to do this. You would be crazy to dig that much by hand. A rake is also handy in a feild like that to collect vegitation to grass with

Good stuff man!

You can barely see your blind, and the spread looks awesome!

Great looking spread. I am with you. A shovel is in my equipment most of the time especially if I know it is a low vegetation field. Thanks for the post and keep up the good work.
