This teal season marks the third year that my son (now 4 1/2) has joined his grandfather and me in the blind for a teal hunt. This year we hunted 3 days, harvesting 20 birds (2 limits, 2 limits, 1 limit) The second evening I told him he had a choice, and it was his. We could sleep in, get up and make breakfast and play... OR him and I could go on one more teal hunt, stop and get donut holes, and then play later. He chose the hunt. WHAT A TROOPER!
The shooting was fantastic all 3 days. At one time we had about 125 - 150 sitting 10 feet from us in the kill hole. He kept laughing and saying "They don't know we're here!". He asked questions like "What are they saying? Why do they sit so close? Why do they move so much?" It was a load of fun. Here are some pictures of the hunt. I got so wrapped up in it I barely picked the camera up. But, these are a few of our "special trip".
After the hunt, over looking the spread.

Can you tell he loves it?
