The good news is that in just over 3 weeks I head back to my home town in northern Alberta for our annual goose/duck hunting trip. I’m also heading up there as my older brother is having his birthday that same time. He has been an avid bird hunter going on 40 years. I thought as a nice birthday gift I would get him the best decoys I could, so I decided on 2 sets of the FFD Elite harvester pack Canada’s (I know, he probably doesn’t deserve it, but he is my brother).
Typically the hunting is pretty much done by the 4th week in October where we go hunting.

The bad news is that I have had these things on backorder from Cabelas going on 7 weeks now. The last conversation I had with their customer service (after a few “we’ll have our warehouse check on your order” with no response afterwards) is that they now have absolutely no idea when these things will be in, and won’t give an estimated time.

I’m not attempting to knock Avery or the folks at Cabelas about this as they both have been very good to me in the past and I understand how sometimes these things just don’t go as planned.

I am worried that with the short amount of time left before my trip and my brothers birthday, and taking into account shipping time to Canada, that I am going to have to cancel my order at Cabelas and think of another birthday gift.

Does anyone on this forum know of anyplace who might have these in stock and could ship to Canada? I imagine most places have quite a line up of people waiting for these same products. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’ll have to cancel the order very soon and think of another option for his birthday.

Saint,

Did you place your order through the website or did you contact a specific store?

If you are having problems try giving Jeremy a call in East Grand Forks.

Rick, I placed the order through their website back on August 3rd.

Would Jeremy be able to help with their internet orders as well?

Contact Jim Jones at Praire Wind Decoys (Google it). He made me a FFD Harvester Pack and I had it 3 days later. EXCELLENT service and a heck of a nice guy!

Thanks Rick, I'll try your suggestion.

Adam, I just noticed your previous thread. I'll try giving them a call as well.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out on this. I ended up placing an order with Jim at Prairie Wind decoys and he should have them shipped out today. You folks here have saved me a lot of worry. I'll make sure to let everyone know how the hunting trip goes and what the decoys are like.

Once again, thanks to everyone!! It is greatly appreciated from a fellow hunter up in the north.
