Anyone have any quick and easy recipes for breakfast that you can reheat in the blind?

If you have a little propane heater, you can just heat up some Campbell's CHUNKY soup in the can.

We have a full blown meal going, bacon, eggs, sausage, gravy, pancakes one guy is assigned to cooking and that is all he does till eveyone eats. In our old pit we even had a oven to make cakes , cookies for the afternoon.

mix everything you need for oatmeal (the real kind is better, not instant) put in a ziploc for travel, dump in a pot and heat over a propane stove. Takes all of 5 minutes. Put enough butter and brown sugar in it, and it's pretty good.

You know it TJ. Nothing healthier than filling up on all the foods available at your local gas station or mini mart. LOL

Being that I have children there have been Pop Tarts in my bag from time to time. But I still have a hard time passing up a hot meal of eggs with cheese, bacon, and tortillas. You can do it in one pan and it goes well in the tortilla with little mess.

Scotch eggs...that is some good stuff in the blind!

Scotch eggs are made by hardboiling an egg and removing the shell. Then you encase the egg in sausage (approx. 1/2" or a little more) and shape into a ball. Brush the ball with an egg and water mixture and coat with bread crumbs and then deep fat-fry. Slice them like an apple and you eat them cold...they are a winner in my book!

Best thing I have found in the blind are the heater meals. They really work good and take the edge off when it is cold. I think the best one I have found is blueberry pancakes.

Get some good smoked kielbasa,, cut it in "rings" fry them so they are just starting too get a little crisp on both sides. Then pour in a bunch of scrambled eggs. Eat with Pita. do the prep work at home, its fast too cook,, tastes great, and you will be tasting it for a good long time!

Breakfast tacos and coffee.

Pre-mix your eggs in a gallon zip loc. Take along tortillas, a package of bacon or sausage (you can pre-cut the bacon or unwrap the suasage the night before and put in a zip loc). Fill up your Neo Bottle with coffee at the house or the quick mart. You can cook it on top of a heater or single burner and everything will fit it a Avery Field Bag, except for the stove. Take a kitchen garbage can liner along to throw the spatula and skillet in and do the dishes when your cleaning birds.

One skillet, no utensils, full bellies. Oh yeah, leave some eggs for the dogs.

The older that my dad and hunting partners are getting, the more focused they are on having a relaxed, comfy hunt. More and more I am seeing the eggs, bread and jelly, sausage ect...coming into our diver hunting boat :-p

What about the ol' boy scout recipe of ziploc omelettes. Add eggs and all the fixins together and scramble, place raw omelete mixture into ziploc bags, boil in the bag until eggs are cooked. instant omelettes with no mess. Just need a pot/burner and some water to boil the bags in.

Military MRE's are awesome, they come with the heater, utencils, even tabasco in a nice tidy package, eat the crackers for a mid morning snack and the entree at noon, they are key for keeping us in the swamp all day, plus after you heat up the food, the heater makes a great hand/body warmer. You can usually find them at most army surplus stores. i recommend spagetti with meat sauce or beef stew.

Food in the blind is great, but eveyone knows there isn't anything like shooting a bunch of birds early and stopping on the way home and having someone else make breakfast for you. Doesn't always turn out that way though.
