If you want to do it the cheap way....usually you can make copies at your local library. Then put into a three-ring binder. It can be a little time consuming.

Ditto on that! Best $25 you can spend on scouting gear.

There is a website that sells these books. I have ordered from them and they are great. Best scouting tool next to a good pair of Binos. I believe it is platmaps.com.

Go to the County Court House, they should have everything you need.

You can pick a plat book up at your local (atleast in Michigan) FSA or NRCS office. Farm Service Agency or Natural Resources Conservation Service. Also, in Michigan you can download from the Michigan DNR's web site for free.

Good luck in Missouri. Its tough to find a current one. I have been trying to get a plat book for a year for my county. They have not made one since 2000 and have no plans to do so. Believe me a lot of property changes hands in 5-6 years! Good luck get a current one!

I can get an 03, but used the 98 at the Library and it work pretty much because the land had just been sold to the son. So the mom was very helpful.
Online it seems that for MO you are only going to find about 12 counties. So the outdated ones will have to work for now.
