Hey guys, I've got a 3 yr old finisher and I got got it out tonight to get it ready for a hunt. The right side flip top was binding when I opened/closed iit and rubbing on the pivot screw. The other side was smooth as silk. I tried adjusting the height on front and bacl but it didn't seem to help. You guys know anything I can try. Also do you guys "mud" your blind at the start of evry season,or just once when they're new? Thanks

Chris, I do mud the blind every season. I also sometimes through the season mud as needed, to keep the apperance the same.
As far as binding goes, it sounds to me like the fabric may be a little bit out of place, or something may just be loose. I will try this evening, depending on the rain, to get in the trailer and see if there is anything noticeable that could be the problem.

Thanks David. It's not really the fabric catching as much as it is the actual flip top frame piece rubbed on the lid pivot.I looked at it again this morning and the spacing between the pivots looks the same as on both sides, but I could try to tighten them and see if that makes a differance.

Not having my blind in front of me, I can't make a 100% decision on what it sould be. You may check to see if they are sloppy loose, and if so, tighten them up a little to match the other side. Just don't overighten them,

The fabric not sliding up on the door bar correctly can put pressure on the bar causing a binding issue. Take some time and see if that is the issue. Let us know.

No, it's not a fabric issue.Where the flip top door frame meets the pivot screw, for some reason, as you open door the door frame piece rubs on the pivot bracket. I kinda fixed it for tomorrow by bending the flip top frame a little. We'll see.
