I am thinking about getting an otter sled to haul my decoys into the field behind a 4 wheeler. I was wondering if anyone had any experience doing this as I'm thinking the stubble (stalks) may present some problems if they are upright? It the sled heavy enough (weight and durability) to be pulled over them? Thank you.

We have a few jet sleds in the trailer to pull when we get a little ice or snow on the ground. they wrok great. The stubble can be a pain, because sometimes it tips the sled over, just make sure you run the sled down the rows instead of across them. We always pull them with man power, so I have never tried an ATV.

It will probably work just fine. We use Jet sleds and have no issues. Occasionally they tip, thats all.

I've got one of the otter sleds that could float the Titanic and I've had absolutely zero problems with it. If you are wanting to pull this behind your ATV hauling your decoys you will have no problems using one of these sleds for that. I've used one for two years and I'm sure it will last a long time so go for it.

Just watch out for muddy fields when pulling the sled behind a ATV. You will for sure throw mud into the sled. I always keep extra garbage bags with to put the decoys inside off before throwing them into the sled.

I have used an Otter sled for years and they work great for hauling your equipment and stubble is no problem. As far as slinging mud, just use a longer rope and the mud won't get on your equipment.
