Finally reached the age where my arms are not long enough anymore. Constantly taking my glasses off to read ir look at things close, so I ordered new glasses...bifocals with the transistion lenses.....never gave it a thought until today, how will that affect my shotgunning? Will I still be able to see the sight ok? How about rifle scopes? Anyone on here using transition bifocals when they hunt?

Hi Jimmy...I am in the same boat. I have been nearsighted and wearing glasses since elementary school (which was a long time ago) and on the suggestion of my optometrist (an avid hunter and eyeglass wearer) I got transistionals to combat my recent age-related "short-game" vision development.
Well in short I hate the new glasses. I have no problems wearing them while working on the computer or reading but aside from that I am going to continue to wear my "fixed-power" glasses in the field.
