Just wondering if anyone is going to be hunting in Michigan this weekend. I'm can't wait we just put up a new blind. :)

Don't mean to hyjack a thread but I'm from the UP and would love to join up with some of you guys in the late season to shoot some geese, I've got a pretty good spread and would love to make my season a little longer than what we have up north.

So far ducks have been slow, I don't like to hunt water much and the mallards haven't had to use the grain fields yet cause of the warm temps.

Well ducks til December.....and I guess new years and then the hardcore honks in January...which is possibly some of the funnest and most challenging of goose hunting here in Michigan.

I Got A Buddy that lives near Newbarry He's been Hammering the Ducks And Geese mostly on water

Newberry is far enough east that it sees a few more birds than I do and I have found quite a few birds on water but its not my cup of tea, at least not until the big numbers of divers come down, til then I wait for cold temps to make them use the grain.
