My son scored his first duck Saturday morning. He was one tickled young man. Here he is with his widgeon.

With the days limits plus his special bird.

Taking a second look at those pictures makes me really appreciate the quality of them, with the spread and teh fence in the background and with good light, its so much better when you take the time to get everything just right before clicking the shutter.

Troy, That is awesome. I hope to make those type of memories with my son/daughter real soon. He is going to get his hunters safety early next month.

Hey, did your son knock that down with a 410?? It looked like in one of the pictures he is holding a 410.

I need to come up there and hunt with you Bro.

That Is Great To Get An Opportunity To Take Some Kids Along With You To Pass It On, And For Them To Get Their First Duck. We Had The Youth Hunt In Ohio This Weekend And Were Lucky Enough To Get Three Young Hunters Their First Ducks As Well As Their First Taste Of Waterfowling. For The Two Days We Had Five Young Hunters Who Took Ten Mallards, two Wood Ducks, And Two Geese, One Of Them With A Leg Band! I Wish I Could Have Gotten Some Better Pictures, But I'll Try To Salvage Something To Post Anyway. From The Looks Of The Smile On The Kids Faces This Weekend, Anybody That Can Somehow Participate In A Youth Hunt And Doesn't, Is Missing The Boat. Congrats On A Great Hunt And Even Better Pics.

Thanks guys. He was telling the story to all his friends at school today from what I'm told.

Trevor is eight years old and shoots a single shot 410 and bismuth 6's untill he grows into his youth model 20. Taylor is 10 and shoots the same set up for the time being.
