Just rolled in from good 'ol NoDak and two excellent days of hunting. Hunted friday and saturday, then spent today wandering around on our back to the house. The Medina area was holding a ton of birds and gave us some great oppurtunities. Saw several swams of at least 5,000 ducks and ended up with 40 ducks and 2 geese total. Had some lights out shooting on some canvasbacks, and my little bro shot his first duck, a nice greenhead. It was the best trip of my life!
Friday: Hunted a medium sized slough that had a good number of ducks useing it. Limited out with 25 ducks, 11 of them being greenheads and 4 of hem canvasbacks. My bro got his greenhead, and we had some great times. Best hunt of my life!
The birds hung over the fencepost(the majority of them are covered up by the huge greenheads).

Saturday: A little slower. Started out on a small slough, then moved back to the site of friday's hunt. Managed to shoot a dozen ducks, and had some great times doing it.

Sweet!
Good To hear the ducks are in there. We are going out to the Medina/Pettibone area the 17th through 24th. Is the water levels doing ok?

Just south of Medina the water levels are fine. And the bird numbers are excellent!

JD,
We are heading out get guided by Jake Latendresse, a Avery prostaffer, in the panhandle. I think the city he lives in is Lewellen(?). I think it is going to be a great trip.

Ellis, looks like you hit the mother load. Have fun in Neb. I hunted there back in 2001, it was a good time. We hunted the Merrit resivior by Valentine. Is that anywhere close to where you are going? Any ways have a good time.
