i'VE USED BOTH HENS AND DRAKES AND HAVE NEVER SEEN A BIG ENOUGH DIFFERENCE TO REALLY HAVE A PREFERENCE.I GUESS WHATEVER YOU HAVE AVAILABLE WOULD WORK. I THINK IT'S IT HAS MORE TO DO WITH THE FLASH OF THE WINGS THAN THE REST OF THE DECOY COLOR.

I have one of each and it doesn't matter which one I use. Either they work that day or they don't.
