I think this would make for a handsome decoy.
Bird came in with 4 other hen pintails what a great bird.
I was glad I was there to exprience it. It was one the best decoy retrieves I have ever had. It was a truely team effort on this bird. Since my hunting partner hit it first and he has the means to do a truely nice mount. The prize his his.

Congratulation Jeff

That is awesome. What a great looking bird. Just curious... if you were to shoot a hybrid like that, what would it count as in your bag limit? Never thought about it before, but now that Minnesota is a 4 bird limit, with restrictions on most species, that could be an issue... any ideas?

This bird is going to make an awesome mount! It looks like it is in pretty good shape and it has great color. Did he respond to a mallard call like a normal greenhead would? Please keep us updated on the rest of your season.

Good Hunting!

Good question. I don't think you can really classify it as one or the other. I would assume it would just count as 1 bird out of your limit, not as a mallard or as a pintail. Its a good question for your local CO or DNR office.
