I have been loving my avery regular size slotted decoy bags to protect my 72 burlapped herters for several years now. I have picked up a dozen and a half burlapped 81's and looking for the right size bag to protect them. I am wondering if any one has gotten their 81's into the avery slotted full body field mallard bags? The dimensions on the bag says the slots are 8"x8" and Cabelas says the width on the 81's are 8 1/2", so I am assuming that is going to be too tight of a fit but thought I would check on here. Any one tried them? Looks like the only other option would be the 6 slotted full body goose bags? Thanks in advance.

Have you thought about the Snow Goose full body Slotted bags?

You may also want to try out the new fullbody duck decoy bags. They should hold the 81's OK.

That is what I am wondering. The dimensions on the decoys are 8 1/2 inches wide and 19 inches long.
According to the cabelas catalog, the 6 slot snow/blue/lesser full body bag is 9x9x16. Plenty wide but I am consider about well they will protect the dekes if they are sticking out three inches from the top. The catalog says the Full Body Duck Bags are 8x8. I am concerned that you won't be able to use all twelve slots by the time you stuff the extra 1/2 inch of the dekes in each slot. Do you think this is a valid concern or does each allow for an extra 1/2 inch or so?
How about the 6 slot full body bag? There are no dimensions in the catalog. Are the slots deeper than the snow full body bag?

The slots are deeper on the FB Canada bag vs. the Snow Slotted bag.

In case you are curious, the snow/lesser bags came in this week and the burlapped 81's fit in them fine. Although I wish the bag stood up as well on its own as well as the original 12 slot bags do and I also wish they were 12 slots instead of six slot, they will work for the 81's just fine. Thanks.
