View Full Version : FB Calling Hen Conversion

After picking up a pack of flocked heads for the drake FB mallards, I eyed one of the leftover drake feeder heads and came up with this conversion for a caller hen.

I took an alert style FB hen and cut the bottom out of the head socket to make room for the drake feeder style head. After painting up the head as a hen, I took a piece of orange web strap and slid a piece of plastic inside (for stiffness). I fused the ends of the strap, and pop-riveted the strap to the bottom of the bill.

I think the results look alright, gonna enjoy adding a calling hen to the spread.

Nice job and that is a great paint job to make that look like a hen head.
